 
        
        OverviewAn Infrastructure Asset Management Specialist is sought to join a highly respected public sector organisation in Brisbane. 
You will influence the future of educational infrastructure across Queensland, shaping asset management practices within a division that manages a portfolio valued at over $40 billion. 
This role supports ongoing business transformation initiatives, collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and flexible working arrangements within a knowledgeable and inclusive team.What You'll DoProvide expert guidance on contemporary asset management practices to ensure assets are managed across their lifecycle in an integrated and effective manner.Implement asset management improvement activities aligned with ISO55000 standards, supporting efficient systems and information management processes.Lead or support resolution of complex asset management issues, delivering practical solutions through strong analysis.Contribute to the development and implementation of robust asset management strategies aligned with organisational objectives and service delivery requirements.Promote continuous improvement by embedding best practice asset management into daily operations and encouraging knowledge sharing.Engage with internal teams, external contractors, other divisions, and government agencies to foster cohesive asset management practices.Develop artefacts for business transformation initiatives, including options analysis, project prioritisation, resource planning, cost estimation, and scheduling.Undertake work packages associated with infrastructure management transformation projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes.Act as a critical link between stakeholders during the implementation of new asset management models and improvement activities, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding.Provide strategic advice to senior executives on infrastructure asset management matters to inform high-level decision-making.What You BringExtensive experience in infrastructure asset management including policy development, framework design, strategy formulation, planning, and system implementation within large-scale organisations.Proven ability to review or define asset custodianship models across all asset lifecycle phases.Demonstrated capability in developing Asset Management Plans and conducting capital renewal and maintenance planning using data-driven insights.Strong background in defining asset data standards and hierarchies to support information governance and digital enablement.Experience investigating, researching, and analysing complex data sets, processes, or systems Issues related to asset management.Desirable: Experience managing or supporting building-related assets or related infrastructure within education or similar sectors.Desirable: Involvement in leading or contributing to business transformation programmes or continuous improvement projects in organisations with varying maturity levels.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels, influence stakeholders constructively, and build team-oriented relationships.A hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail when delivering routine tasks and innovative solutions under tight deadlines.Relevant qualifications such as degrees in Engineering, GIS, Business or Finance, or technical certifications from recognised bodies (e.g., Asset Management Council or IPWEA) are highly regarded but not mandatory.What Sets This Company ApartThis organisation is a cornerstone in supporting Queensland's educational landscape through world-class infrastructure stewardship.
