Overview
Some banking roles are all transactions, no connection. This is not one of them. Here, every person walking through the door matters. Not just their account, not just their enquiry – the person.
You will be the first face they see when they step into the branch, the one who greets them, listens to what they need, and helps them feel like they've come to the right place. Sometimes that means helping with everyday banking, sometimes it means guiding them to the right person, and sometimes it simply means taking a moment to listen so they leave feeling heard.
This role sits right at the heart of the branch. You'll help customers with transactions, support them with banking enquiries, and point them in the right direction when specialist help is required.
Some days will be smooth sailing. Other days you'll deal with frustrated customers, tricky situations or people having a rough day. That's where your empathy, resilience and calm approach come in. You'll handle it with professionalism, patience and a genuine willingness to help.
Why It's Different
This is a community‐owned bank, meaning the profits don't disappear into shareholder pockets – they go straight back into the communities the bank serves. We support local initiatives, back programs that help people in the community, and fund projects that strengthen the region. The work you do every day actually means something beyond the branch.
Growth & Development
You'll step into a role where growth is mapped out clearly. Your first weeks will include structured induction, buddy training and learning the systems. Within a few months you'll complete your Tier 2 certification so you can support customers with deposit products, and as your capability grows so does your pay through structured competency levels.
Who We're Looking For
If you've worked in retail, hospitality or any customer‐facing role where you've needed to think on your feet and keep people happy, you'll likely feel right at home. We value someone who enjoys helping people, keeps calm under pressure and takes pride in great service.
Locations & Conditions
Seven full‐time roles are available across branches including Albury, Lavington, Wangaratta, Corowa, Howlong and surrounding areas. One position will support multiple branches, so a driver's licence is essential.
