About the role This is a specialist role requiring strong technical expertise in graphic design and visual communication. Working under limited direction, you will undertake work that is complex in nature, set your own priorities, exercise sound judgement and provide accurate specialist advice on design, branding and visual strategy. The role will include: producing a wide range of materials including social media, newsletters, publications, presentations and other ad hoc materials be an AGS brand custodian, ensuring all material is on brand and of high quality organising and maintaining design files, master files and templates as needed, ensuring accessibility and consistency collaborate with various key stakeholders to produce high-quality design in a fast-paced environment apply contemporary design practices, tools and technologies - including responsible use of AI-enabled design tools. The position is located within the AGS Client Services team and can be based in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne. The successful candidate must have a tertiary qualification in graphic design (or equivalent), a high attention to detail, excellent project management skills and communication skills. About you We are looking for someone with: Tertiary qualifications in graphic design, visual communication or a related field Demonstrated experience (generally between 2-6 years) producing high quality design work across print and digital formats The ability to work under limited direction, handle complex tasks and exercise judgement when advising on brand and design matters Strong project management skills, including the ability to set priorities and manage competing deadlines Excellent attention to detail, creativity and a proactive, solutions focused mindset Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across diverse work areas. You will ideally have experience with the Adobe Creative suite and Canva and will have a portfolio showcasing examples of recent design work.
