Job Title: Group Financial Controller
Magnus Kahl Seeds Pty Ltd is a privately owned company operating throughout Australia and various global markets.
The company is involved in the breeding, production, and marketing of quality onion and shallot seeds.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Finance Officer to join our small dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business as well as assisting all business units on an administrative front.

Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Receivable:
o Reconcile bank entries, QF, Amex feeds, Stripe transactions, PayPal, and Shopify
o Approve and create sales invoices
o Process website commissions
o Email statements to customers
o Contact outstanding debtors for payment via email or phone
o Receipt debtor payments via bank accounts
o Address customer enquiries regarding invoicing
o Complete and submit debtor reports to management when required
* Accounts Payable:
o Clear supplier invoices from accounts inbox and enter into Xero
o Process payments via Pay.com and Xero
o Respond to accounts payable enquiries from suppliers
o Communicate with suppliers regarding credit notes and discrepancies
o Reconcile supplier statement with invoices
o Process expense claims from employees
* Other Activities:
o General ledger account reconciliations
o Assist with month-end, year-end, and statutory tasks
* Admin Responsibilities:
o Office administration, including answering calls, directing enquiries, and general office tasks to support the various teams within the business
o Specific support to the Coburg warehouse team in regard to purchase order processing, website stock monitoring, updating various freight logs, and seed import sheets
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Proficient in using Xero and Google software
* Must have spreadsheeting skills
* Understanding of general accounting principles and Australian accounting standards
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and solve problems
* Great communication skills (verbal and written)
* Qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance is highly desirable
