Your duties will include:Developing and implementing medium to long-term ICT strategies that align with council’s priorities, ensuring technology services enable business efficiency and innovationMonitoring industry trends and best practices to stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies and new ICT methodologiesLeading the ongoing management and optimisation of the OneCouncil Workplan, ensuring a structured approach to continuous improvement across the TechnologyOne ERP systemDriving enhancements that maximise functionality, user experience, and business outcomes while aligning with organisational prioritiesCollaborating with key stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and implement system improvements, ensuring effective governance, resource allocation, and benefits realisationEstablishing, maintaining, and communicate ICT policies, standards, and frameworks that support operational excellence, cybersecurity, and compliance with legislative requirementsDeveloping and overseeing cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, and risk management practices to safeguard Council’s digital assets, mitigate threats, and ensure compliance with security standardsProactively monitor risks, implementing incident response protocols, and fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness across the organisationEnsuring ICT infrastructure, systems, and services are reliable, secure, and optimised, and ensuring effective backup, disaster recovery, and business continuityOverseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of ICT projects, driving digital transformation and service improvements across the organisationFostering a high-performing, values-driven team culture that supports professional growth, accountability, and collaboration (4x direct reports and 17x indirect reports)Managing ICT budgets effectively, ensuring the efficient allocation of financial and human resources to deliver maximum valueAbout YouStrong background in leading and driving transformation along with a good understanding of change methodologiesProven experience communicating change and transformational impacts to key stakeholders and managing the rollout of significant projectsExcellent leadership capabilities and previous experience overseeing a large team or portfolio in a dynamic and diverse environmentStrategic thinker and the ability to collaborate extensively across leadership and management to come up with proactive and reactive solutionsStrong communication skills and the ability to consult, negotiate, partner and work together with all employeesWhilst experience working in local, state or federal government will be highly regarded, it is not essential and candidates from other sectors are strongly encouraged to applyIn ReturnMake an impact in one of SA’s largest local government organisationsBroad remit with oversight of the full ICT functionStrong executive leadership who strongly support technological change and transformationTrue leadership role with significant, strategic influenceLarge internal management cohort comprised of 20 + leaders to partner and work alongsideFlexible working arrangements available3 days of extra leave across the Christmas period annuallyCompetitive, negotiated remuneration package | 5-year fixed term contractNext StepsIf you’re interested in the position on offer, please apply using the relevant links.
