About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Asset Management team based at our Beenleigh Facility in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Facility Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical and mechanical maintenance functions, while managing the site's refrigeration, energy, boiler, and biogas systems.
You will lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of preventative and predictive maintenance practices to optimise plant reliability, while also supporting capital projects and ensuring budget and compliance requirements are met.
In this role, you will recruit, train, and develop trade staff, manage contractors and suppliers, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, and uptime across the facility.
About You
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
* Degree and/or Diploma with mechanical or electrical trade qualifications, plus 7+ years' relevant experience in a food manufacturing facility.
* Three (3) plus years experience in a supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of refrigeration, waste water, steam generation, and environmental technology.
* Experience in contractor management.
* Demonstrated ability to drive change, continuous improvement, and lead diverse teams.
Desirable:
* Dual trade qualifications.
* Experience in an export meat processing facility.
* Advanced computer literacy and JD Edwards/CMMS exposure.
* Accreditation in Boiler/Refrigeration.
* Project management knowledge (Prince2/PDP).
* Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge
