Base Salary Range
$94,152 - $114,672 pa (Level A)

About the Role
As the Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will support the Chief Investigator (Professor CT Lin) in delivering key project outcomes and co‑supervising PhD students aligned with the project ‘Mind‑reading AI to translate silent speech into words’.
This role provides the successful candidate the opportunity to develop own research capabilities, build a strong research track record, and pursue prestigious competitive research grants.
About You
The incumbent is expected to have a strong background in deep learning, optimization, reinforcement learning, neural signal processing, and human‑AI interaction frameworks.
As the successful applicant, you will also have;
- A PhD in AI, Neuroscience, Computer Science, or related discipline (completed within the last 3 years)
- Deep technical expertise in AI model development, Reinforcement learning algorithms, EEG signal processing, large language model agent development, and Human‑AI interface design
- Proficiency in Python, NumPy, Torch, and machine learning frameworks
- Familiarity with EEGLab and MATLAB
- Experience in collaborative research environments
- Project and time management skills
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
This position is full‑time and an appointment will be made on a fixed‑term basis for 4 years.
