We currently seek a Technical Services Manager to lead and manage our Engineering team on the South Walker Creek Mining Project, just 1.5 hours from Mackay, QLD
Reporting to the General Manager Mining, the successful candidate will have demonstrated capability in leading mine planning and technical services on a coal mining site.
This role offers an attractive 5:2 / 4:3 roster with both DIDO and FIFO options available. With a strong partnership in place with our client Stanmore, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing project that has recently secured a five-year contract extension.

Key Role Tasks:
* Provide leadership and guidance to the Mine Planning, Survey and Technical Services teams.
* Collaborate closely with the Mining Manager in the execution of mine plans for South Walker Creek.
* Foster and maintain our strong client partnership to achieve shared success.
* Consolidate all plans, budgets, forecasts and reports required by Golding and the client in a timely and accurate manner.
* Prepare monthly project valuation reports, forecasts and analyse financial and physical performance in consultation with department managers.
* Proactively manage systems to ensure clarity of contract scope, working collaboratively with the client to resolve interpretation matters, and escalating where needed for timely resolution.
* Manage costs effectively without sacrificing value.
* Develop and recommend improvements to Golding systems, or implement site-specific improvements where required.
* Provide visible safety leadership by participating in SHEC audits, inspections and observations.
Key Capability Requirements:
* Extensive experience in managing mining engineering and technical services on a coal mining operation is essential.
* Tertiary qualifications in a related engineering field.
* Strong track record of achieving safety and production objectives.
* Proven ability to analyse production, safety, financial and operational data to inform sound decision making.
* High-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
