With offices located in WA, NSW and QLD, and due to recently secured projects across Australia, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Post Tensioning Technician/Civil Carpenter to join our growing team, to work on key infrastructure and commercial projects across the Perth metro area.
About the Role
The successful person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilising their post-tensioning and civil carpentry experience. They will liaise with supervisors and workers, assisting with the coordination, management, and scheduling of activities and equipment, and will support and drive teams to operate safely and smoothly, ensuring they comply with WHS requirements. About You
This role would suit a well organised person, with strong interpersonal skills, to be part of a busy and successful project delivery environment, and experienced and high performing team.
You ideally would have the following skills and experience:
* Experience working in commercial construction, including steel fixing, carpentry, and general bridge works.
* Previous experience in civil or building concrete works and ability to operate post tensioning equipment including stressing and grouting plant and/or other construction plant.
* Experience in reading and interpreting post-tensioning drawings and plans.
* Ability and experience in setting up and operating machinery, including minor maintenance.
* Experience in supervising small to medium sized projects successfully, including planning and programming.
* Experience in supervising teams, of up to 5 staff, to support the delivery of projects at a high quality and within expected timeframes.
* Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety policies and procedures and demonstrated experience following them in the workplace and ensuring staff understand their responsibilities.
* Sound verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a variety of people, including managers, supervisors, workers, and clients.
* Is proactive and reliableand enjoys contributing to the improvement of processes and outcomes.
* Holds a current Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card) and Drivers Licence.
