Role
In this role as the Medication Safety Pharmacist, you will be required to promote a culture of medication safety within Barwon Health through multidisciplinary collaboration, monitoring, education and research, and development and implementation of improvement activities to ensure safe medication practice.
Duties include:
1. Monitoring trends and reviewing work practices and systems to identify risks or gaps in practice audits
2. Maintaining oversight of the Medication Safety Reference Training Plan
3. Developing and participating in medication safety research projects and present at professional conferences, where appropriate
4. Establishing and maintaining links to special interest groups concerned with medication safety and QUM VicTAG QUM
