About the role
As a Senior Travelling Stock Reserve Ranger (LSO) you'll deliver ground services projects and activities to care for and protect TSRs in the Northern Tablelands region. You will work closely with a high performing, tight‐knit team that is passionate about their work.
We are looking for an individual who can confidently:
* Monitor compliance and undertake regulatory duties across the region
* Manage projects and implement plans and activities that ensure the region's Travelling Stock Reserves are used sustainably and maintained in accordance with legislative obligations
* Collect, collate and analyse data, and provide accurate, balanced advice, reports and recommendations on the use and condition of Travelling Stock Reserves
* Advise on opportunities to create additional revenue‐generating activities, increase accessibility to Travelling Stock Reserves and implement regional plans related to reserve uses, including leading competitive processes to secure commercial arrangements, issuing permits and maintaining relationships with lessees and permit holders to ensure contractual compliance
* Undertake assessments of reserve conservation values and recommend and implement actions to maintain and/or improve those values
* Ensure reserves are maintained in readiness to support emergency management and control of livestock during natural disaster events, and participate in LLS emergency‐management prevention, preparedness, response and recovery activities
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to:
* Have experience in a previous compliance role
* Engage with landholders, clients and stakeholders, build rapport and deliver successful outcomes across the business unit
* Be self‐motivated, capable of working independently and a strong team contributor
* Understand and appreciate rural issues and challenges
* Possess excellent verbal, written and computer abilities to meet reporting requirements, and high‐level communication and negotiation skills; experience with finance and budget management is a bonus
