We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Customer Service Officer. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to every visitor and play a vital part in supporting and enhancing the visitor experience.
About the Position
The Visitor Information Centre is at the heart of the tourism industry on the Surf Coast, welcoming millions of visitors each year. As a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, promoting local experiences, and supporting slow, regenerative tourism.
Job Details
* This is a permanent – part-time opportunity with various shifts available, including Sunday & Monday mornings, afternoons, and fortnightly Saturdays.
* You will work closely with our team to achieve our goals and contribute to the success of the Visitor Information Centre.
What You Will Do
* Deliver exceptional and welcoming service to every visitor
* Promote local experiences and support slow, regenerative tourism
* Manage administration, stock control, and retail presentation
* Keep information accurate, current, and accessible
Key Selection Criteria – Mandatory
* Minimum three years' experience in the tourism industry, preferably in a visitor information centre environment
* Proven experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
* Experience in a retail environment with strong merchandising focus
* Knowledge of the Surf Coast region and its key tourism products
* Current Victorian driver's licence
* A current Working With Children Check
* Permanent right to live and work in Australia
* Suitable Police Check results (arranged by the council)
