Open House is a small charity organisation that has been serving the community for over 50 years. As a not-for-profit organisation, we depend on volunteers to help us in the delivery of our services.
Program & Position
Do you love being outdoors? And are you passionate about gardening? We would love to hear from you We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the Open House Garden Club. Our team is dedicated to creating, maintaining, and improving the beautiful gardens at Open House. The current focus of the team is to grow vibrant outdoor areas. This is a chance to think creatively, put into practice your gardening skills, make new friends, and have fun.
Responsibilities
* Planting trees, seedlings, shrubs, and flowers
* Landscaping and design projects
* Weeding
* Pruning trees
* Soil improvement
* Composting
Skills
* Ability to use standard gardening equipment, e.g., shears, shovels, clippers, edge trimmer, etc.
* Ability to understand and implement safe working practices.
* Experience with gardening is preferred.
* Ability to work without supervision.
