Job Role:
The Mental Health Dual Diagnosis Peer Support Specialist plays a crucial part in the Emergency Department, working closely with the Mental Health Emergency Teams to enhance outcomes for individuals facing dual diagnosis challenges.
This role requires personal experience of mental health and drug and/or alcohol issues, providing advocacy and support while linking consumers/carers, clinicians and services to improve the journey and treatment outcomes.
The Peer Support Specialist will establish strong and effective stakeholder partnerships, including liaison with families and/or carers. The position may require travel across the district and work on weekends and after hours.

Essential Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Peer Work or willingness to undertake the Certificate IV in Peer Work
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
