Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Training professional to lead safety strategies and initiatives at a prominent mining project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation of project safety management plans, influencing peers to achieve a safe work environment, motivating people to take ownership of health and safety, and overseeing a team of professionals.
About You
* A minimum diploma in Occupational Health and Safety with tertiary qualifications in safety or a similar field highly regarded.
* No less than five years' experience in a similar role with extensive experience in an operational mining environment.
* Extensive experience working with workers' compensation, risk management and incident investigations.
* The ability to effectively establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* The ability to influence and implement strategic and cultural change.
* Outstanding skills with Microsoft software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
