About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and professional Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. Support workers will assist participants to live independently, develop life skills, engage in the community, and work toward their goals in a respectful and person-centred way.
You will be supporting NDIS participants across home and in the community, promoting dignity, choice, and independence at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support in line with participants' goals and support plans
* Assist with daily living skills (meal prep, routines, personal care where required)
* Support community participation, recreation, and social activities
* Encourage independence, confidence, and skill-building
* Implement behaviour support strategies where applicable
* Complete shift notes, documentation, and incident reports accurately
* Maintain professional boundaries and uphold participant rights
* Work collaboratively with families, team members, and stakeholders
* Follow NDIS Practice Standards, risk procedures, and duty of care requirements
About You
* Empathetic, patient, and respectful in communication and practice
* Able to work independently and use initiative
* Able to build rapport and communicate well with participants, families, and colleagues
* Calm under pressure and confident in responding to behaviours of concern
* Professional, reliable, and committed to participant wellbeing
Essential Requirements
* Current Australian Driver Licence & Reliable Vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
* NDIS Orientation Module
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* COVID-19 Infection Control training
* COVID-19 vaccination certificate
* Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) with NDIS Activities - Yes
* First Aid & CPR
* Working Rights in Australia
Desirable
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, or similar
* Experience supporting participants with autism, intellectual disability, or complex needs
* Experience in SIL, community access, aged care, mental health, 1:1 or group support environments
