The Role
We currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced electrician on day shift. You will join a highly motivated and experienced team who provide excellent, time‐critical service ensuring the reliability of the Castlemaine site. This role is a permanent full‐time opportunity, working Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 2:30pm.
Purpose of the Role
* Diagnose and resolve equipment electrical breakdowns efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity in a safe manner.
* Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to communicate equipment status, particularly during shift changes.
* Maintain safety and compliance standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.
* Work with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors to conduct root cause analysis on failures and follow up on identified actions.
* Maintain all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities.
* Develop and maintain close and collaborative working relationships across the Maintenance, Production, Planning and Engineering teams.
About You
* Minimum \"A\" Grade Electrician Trade qualification.
* Safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
* Able to work and communicate well in a team environment.
* Sound understanding of reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance systems and techniques.
* Sound knowledge of high‐speed packaging equipment, bearings, seals, shaft repair, conveying systems, etc.
* Sound analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Great organisational and time management skills.
* Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
