ABOUT THE ROLE
TAFE NSW are seeking one (1) x Teacher of Mobile Plant and one (1) x Teacher of Heavy Vehicle to deliver training to a range of student cohorts at the Kurri Kurri Campus. The role requires you to tailor your delivery to school-based apprentices, trade apprentices and post and pre-trade delivery.
The role is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners, and enhances the student learning experience. As a professional educator you will skill the workforce of tomorrow by constructing and guiding the educative process with a mixture of workshop and classroom delivery. In the role, you will deliver face-to-face educational programs and facilitate practical learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

You are self-driven and disciplined individual, who can manage high workloads and competing demands within a dynamic and flexible work environment.
To be successful in this role you must:

Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications, and hold the minimum vocational qualification in Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology. With a commitment to maintain technical industry currency in any discipline.
5. Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the TAE40110 qualification with the required additional upgrade units, or higher-level qualification in adult education.
6. Have a minimum of five (5) years relevant and post-qualification experience in the automotive industry relevant to your qualifications. With the ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
7. Demonstrate that you have strong digital skills and proficient computer experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel.
