Fishing Program Coordinator Role
This pivotal role empowers individuals with disabilities to experience the thrill of fishing, while providing a leadership and coordination framework for other volunteers.
* Practical assistance to participants - setting up fishing gear, baiting and casting a line, and catch care
* Awareness of current regulations regarding recreational fishing
* Developing meaningful relationships with participants to enhance their self-esteem, life skills, awareness of the environment and quality outdoor experiences
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic planning and organization of volunteer rosters
* Pre-event preparation (organising trailers, bait, equipment etc) and on-site coordination for each fishing activity
* Active participation in meetings, training sessions and functions, providing input as required
