An opportunity has arisen for experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurses with strong clinical assessment and care‑planning skills who are keen to expand their knowledge in medical and surgical nursing. The Position: In this role you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide patient centred, compassionate nursing care using the principals of evidence-based practice to improve care delivery. As part of a multifaceted clinical environment, you will be exposed to a broad range of patient presentations and clinical situations providing great opportunities to grow your skills. About the Team: Tambo ward contains 34 beds with a 4 bed higher acuity area. The unit provides care for a large spectrum of medical conditions and post-operative care for gynaecology, urology, gastroenterology and general surgery patients. The ward has facilities for cardiac monitoring via both mobile telemetry units and fixed monitors. Key criteria you need: * Current AHPRA registration and NMBA approved qualifications in medication administration and intravenous medication administration. * Recent acute medical or surgical nursing experience (preferred) * Well-developed clinical assessment and care planning skills, including escalation of care and discharge planning * Strong communication and teamwork, with effective clinical handover and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
