Position
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for a Fire Technician Team Leader - Electrician. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, supporting the development and performance of field technicians.
You will play a key role in overseeing complex projects, mentoring staff, and ensuring all works are delivered to a high standard.
Responsibilities
* Providing technical support across fire alarm and occupant warning system installations, upgrades, and fault finding.
* Supervising and mentoring technicians in the field, supporting skill development and performance.
* Acting as the link between site teams and office operations to ensure efficient job delivery.
* Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new technicians.
* Leading technical meetings and contributing to ongoing training programs.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Ensuring subcontractors and projects meet compliance and quality standards.
Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced fire technician or electrician with strong knowledge of fire systems and a desire to step into a leadership role. You will bring a balance of technical expertise, communication skills, and a proactive approach to team development.
The key attributes of an ideal candidate would include:
* Electrical licence (desirable).
* Strong experience with fire alarm systems and occupant warning systems.
* Proven fault-finding and technical problem-solving ability.
* Previous experience mentoring or leading other technicians (highly regarded).
* Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
* Comfortable using digital job management systems and reading technical plans.
