Job Description:
The role of the Community Safety Specialist ensures community safety by effectively managing offenders who have been placed under community-based orders or reparation orders. It involves supervising, case managing, and reporting on offender compliance with set requirements and conditions.
This position also involves court administration duties, focusing on developing strong relationships with stakeholders to support long-term community projects. The specialist will work closely with other agencies to facilitate successful outcomes for offenders and the wider community.
To excel in this role, you'll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field
* Possession of a C class licence is required; mandatory in specific locations identified by the hiring panel
* Able to travel on official business
* Must complete Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) within 12 months of commencing employment
