About The Role
The Western Virtual Division is a supportive, agile, and innovative team consisting of vCare (Virtual, Co-ordination, Access, Referral, Escalation), vRGS (Virtual Rural Generalist Service), iCiC (Integrated care in the community) and vAHS (Virtual Allied Health Service).
The service collaborates with Rural and Remote Facilities, Base Hospitals, Tertiary Referral Hospitals, Ambulance New South Wales, and all clinicians involved in patient-centred care.
In early 2025, Western Virtual commenced a new service VirtualADULTs, providing virtual emergency care to patients in the community.
Patients who contact Health Direct and would previously have been directed to Emergency Departments across NSW are now connected with the VirtualADULTs service.
The Virtual - Clinical Nurse Consultant Virtual Emergency, Critical Care & Close Observation provides expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, and consultancy services within the area of emergency, critical care and close observation in a virtual context.
Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership, and consultancy within emergency, critical care and close observation in a virtual context.
Collaborate with Rural and Remote Facilities, Base Hospitals, Tertiary Referral Hospitals, Ambulance NSW and other clinicians to deliver patient-centred care.
Support the VirtualADULTs service in delivering virtual emergency care to patients in the community.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time / Permanent Part Time
Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1
Remuneration: $126,720.88 – $129,314.15 pa; $63.91 - $65.22 per hour (+ superannuation + salary packaging options)
