Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality meals and beverages that cater to residents’ dietary and nutritional needs.
- Work closely with residents, dietitians, Registered Nurses, and the General Manager to contribute to menu planning.
- Monitor stock levels and communicating supply needs to the Chef Supervisor.
- Maintain food safety standards by effective implementation of the Food Safety Program (FSP).
- Foster a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment to work efficiently and confidently.
- Order supplies to align with menu plans and budget requirements.
- Independently plan and manage your workload with professionalism and care.
- Assist with other relevant duties within your skillset, as directed by the organisation
- Food Handling Course and a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Experience in aged care cooking.
- Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.
Highly Desirable
- Leadership experience in a kitchen or food services setting.
