YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school. OSHC educators support children with a range of activities including cooking, sport, music, art, dance and more.
We are currently recruiting for OSHC Educators on a casual basis to join YMCA Loganholme Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.
About the service
YMCA Loganholme Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located within the Loganholme State School grounds in a brand-new double-spaced room. With 135 spaces, the service has steady growth and is committed to building a strong community bond with the school and families. We value the uniqueness of every child and encourage their voice and freedom of play each day. Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children’s agency and spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences and welcome educators with diverse skills to share with children.
Responsibilities
- As an OSHC Educator, you are responsible for the care of children before school, after school and during school holiday periods.
- Assist in running engaging, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting and musical activities.
- Be part of a team that delivers a stimulating program and supports the safety and wellbeing of children.
Qualifications
- You are currently studying or have completed a Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor degree in children’s services or a related field.
- You have a sense of fun and imagination.
- You hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification.
- You hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or are willing to obtain one.
