About Our Client
A proud Australian business, our client is a family-owned company who have a strong market-share within the FMCG sector. Due to a team retirement, the business is now seeking to add to its finance function with this hire.
Job Description
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, this role will lead a team of 6 staff, with key duties including:
Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Manage month end function, including reporting and general ledger management.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor budgets and forecast financial performance.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Manage and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
Lead process improvement and ERP optimisation.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will possess a strong background working within a commercial accounting environment. Key traits will also include:
CA/CPA Qualified.
People leadership exposure.
Industry experience across FMCG, retail or wholesale (desired).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERPs and PowerBI.
