About Anti-Discrimination NSW
Anti-Discrimination NSW is an independent statutory authority dedicated to promoting equality, advancing human rights, and eliminating discrimination across New South Wales. We administer the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) and the civil complaints scheme under the Conversion Practices Ban Act 2024 (NSW). Our work spans complaint resolution, public education, legislative exemptions, and strategic policy advice to government, ensuring that anti-discrimination principles are embedded across institutions and communities.
We provide accessible services including enquiry support, complaint handling, and community engagement, with a strong focus on fairness, integrity, and respect. Our team is committed to fostering inclusive practices, raising awareness of discrimination and its impacts, and driving systemic change through evidence-based advocacy. Guided by our values of service, trust, accountability, integrity, and respect, we strive to build a NSW where everyone is treated equally and with dignity.
