Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all vineyard operations across the growing cycle, from pruning to harvest
* Manage canopy, irrigation, nutrition, and pest/disease programs to optimise fruit quality
* Lead and coordinate seasonal staff, contractors, and machinery operations
* Maintain vineyard equipment, infrastructure, and irrigation systems
* Monitor vine health, soil conditions, and environmental factors
* Implement sustainable and regenerative viticulture practices
* Work closely with the winemaking team to align vineyard decisions with wine style goals
* Maintain accurate records, compliance documentation, and operational plans
* Contribute to long‑term vineyard development, replanting, and improvement projects
* Assist with winery operations when required
* Assist with festival sales and operations when required
* Assist with cellar door sales if required
What You Will Bring
* Hands‑on vineyard experience, ideally in cool‑climate viticulture
* Strong understanding of vine physiology, canopy management, and sustainable practices
* Ability to lead teams with clarity, respect, and a positive attitude
* Practical skills in machinery operation, maintenance, and problem‑solving
* A proactive, organised approach with the ability to plan ahead and adapt to seasonal demands
* Commitment to producing high‑quality fruit and continuous improvement
* Experience in operating vineyard equipment and grape harvesters
* A genuine appreciation for rural living and contributing to a small, close‑knit team
* Relevant qualifications in viticulture or agriculture (preferred but not essential)
