Jessie McPherson Private Hospital as part of the Monash Health network is proud to be the private health partner at the Victorian Heart Hospital, Australia's first dedicated cardiac hospital. The private cardiac service will be known as Monash Heart Private (operated by Jessie McPherson Private Hospital).
A centre of excellence in cardiovascular care, research, and education, the Victorian Heart Hospital is being delivered in partnership with Monash Health, the Victorian Government and Monash University. As part of this exciting transition we are extending our reach from inpatients to outpatients and will be taking over responsibility for a private consulting business currently operated by Monash Health. We are looking for a leader to develop this business into a fully functioning private practice
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are seeking a full-time permanent Practice Manager to join us in our new state-of-the-art private consulting rooms at the Victorian Heart Hospital in Clayton.
The Private Consulting Rooms Practice Manager role operates within a range of competencies and skills required to ensure the day-to-day operations of the practice. You will work with various administrative staff at our healthcare facility throughout the day to complete administrative tasks and provide outstanding customer service to our patients.
You will be welcomed into a positive and supportive environment, passionate about delivering cardiac care to a diverse and growing local community. You will also enjoy working in newly built facilities in a dedicated heart hospital.
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage a small team to ensure optimal operation of the practice.
- Responsible for the overall operations, development and success of our medical practice.
- Coordinate staff employment and rosters, including annual leave cover for bookings and billings staff.
- Interacting with patients and addressing any concerns or complaints.
- Liaison with private doctors.
- Recruitment and development of staff.
- Ensure legal obligations are met at all times.
**ABOUT YOU**
You are a proactive individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can work effectively in a leadership role. Prioritising comes naturally to you and being in a hospital environment you exhibit integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.
- Management experience, preferably in the healthcare sector
- Strong understanding of healthcare administration and management
- Leadership qualities, with good communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent customer service with empathy and sincerity
- A proactive, organised approach and able to work autonomously
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability to learn new skills quickly
- Experience of iPM, HealthTrack systems will be beneficial
