About the Role
As a Customer Relationship Specialist, you’ll be the friendly, trusted face of BOQ in our Beenleigh branch, playing a vital role in helping customers feel confident about their financial decisions.
Working closely with the Branch Manager and a supportive, high‑performing team, you’ll build genuine relationships by delivering personalised, meaningful banking experiences.
Every conversation is an opportunity to understand what matters most to our customers — today and into the future — and to connect them with the right solutions to help them get there.
Your day will be dynamic and customer‑focused. You’ll engage customers in quality conversations to uncover their goals and needs, supporting them across a broad range of products including everyday banking, credit cards, personal lending and loan maintenance.
You’ll manage loan variations, pricing requests and top‑ups with care and accuracy, ensuring customers experience a smooth, transparent journey at every step.
You’ll also act as a connector, identifying opportunities to introduce customers to our specialist teams — including Home Lending and Business Banking — so they receive holistic support tailored to their circumstances.
You’ll proactively manage leads, maintain regular contact with new and existing customers, and book appointments that deepen engagement and drive long‑term retention. Alongside this, you’ll champion our digital banking tools, helping customers build confidence and capability to manage their finances anytime, anywhere.
Beyond your own portfolio, you’ll contribute to the growth of the wider team by coaching and supporting Customer Service Officers, sharing best‑practice approaches to customer conversations, lead identification and service excellence.
This role is also a clear launchpad into lending. With structured training in lending fundamentals and exposure to real customer scenarios, you’ll be supported on a defined pathway toward becoming a Lending Specialist.
About You
You’re a confident, engaging communicator who genuinely enjoys helping people succeed.
You bring previous experience in customer service, ideally within banking or financial services, and exposure to consumer lending will set you up for success.
You’re naturally curious, proactive and solutions‑focused, with a positive, “can‑do” mindset that customers and colleagues alike respond to.
You’re comfortable navigating systems, have strong attention to detail, and take pride in delivering accurate, high‑quality outcomes. Just as importantly, you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy sharing knowledge, and are motivated to go above and beyond for your customers and your team.
Most of all, you’ll be joining BOQ at an exciting time — as we continue our transformation journey, reshaping the future of banking through relationships, trust and innovation.
If you’re ready to build meaningful connections, grow your career in lending, and make a real impact in your local community, we’d love to hear from you.
