About Our Business Development Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to drive our growth in the Queensland market. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will identify new revenue opportunities, nurture strategic partnerships and promote our suite of nationally recognised training programs.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the vocational education and training sector, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B environment. They will be tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM platforms, MS Office and digital marketing tools, and possess exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prospect, qualify and close new B2B opportunities with employers, industry associations and schools
* Develop and execute targeted sales strategies, leveraging CRM tools to manage pipelines and forecasts
* Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders, including employers, schools, WorkForce Australia providers and referral partners
* Design and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that articulate the value of our training offerings
* Collaborate with marketing to plan and implement digital campaigns, including social media, email marketing and webinars
* Stay abreast of RTO funding models and advise clients on eligibility and co-investment opportunities
* Provide market insights and competitor analysis to inform product development and pricing
Requirements:
* Minimum 3–5 years' proven experience in business development or sales within the vocational education & training (VET) sector or related industries
* Strong knowledge of RTO funding frameworks and Queensland training market dynamics
* Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
* Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g. Zoho, Salesforce), MS Office and digital marketing tools
* Demonstrated ability to leverage social media/email campaigns to convert leads and engagement
* Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills
* Formal qualification in business, marketing or education management
* Experience working with government funding bodies or tender processes
* Understanding of adult learning principles and training delivery models
