Job Overview
The Manager (Remuneration and Benefits) leads payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with employment legislation and Enterprise Agreement provisions, and strategic alignment. The role oversees payroll, employee benefits, remuneration, and data integrity in PeopleSoft HCM, driving governance through auditing, risk assessment, and compliance advisory to the Director (Workplace Relations & Operations).
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead accurate and compliant delivery of the fortnightly payroll.
* Oversee Payroll Services team and maintain the PeopleSoft HCM system.
* Provide primary advice on payroll compliance and strategic implications.
* Resolve complex payroll issues, lead audits and risk assessments.
* Drive continuous improvement in payroll processes and controls.
Requirements
You are a strategic leader with at least six years' experience in senior payroll roles within large, complex organisations. You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field. You have a deep understanding of payroll operations, compliance, and governance, and are skilled at interpreting employment legislation, industrial instruments, and organisational policies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* At least six years' experience in senior payroll roles.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
* Deep understanding of payroll operations, compliance, and governance.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
