About The Role
We currently have an opportunity for a World Class Operations Specialist to join our team based in our Windsor manufacturing plant.
As the World Class Operations Specialist you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations through the application of Business Excellence frameworks, TPM (Total Productive Management) Lean Six Sigma, and data-driven problem-solving. The role partners with the Windsor site team to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost, ensuring sustainable performance improvements in alignment with the Huhtamaki Strategy.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
* Lead and support TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, and WCO initiatives across manufacturing operations. Leading training and coaching employees in these programs.
* Identify, analyse, and prioritise improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
* Facilitate structured problem-solving using appropriate methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis.
* Coach teams in the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
* Map, analyse, and optimise end-to-end manufacturing and support processes
* Develop and monitor KPIs aligned to manufacturing and business objectives.
* Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Safety teams to deliver improvement outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Strong knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.
* Experience applying CI tools in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Experience with programs such as AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and Kaizen Teams Projects
* Data analysis and performance measurement capability.
* Understanding of manufacturing operations, production systems, and value streams.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and at all organisational levels.
* Pragmatic, hands-on approach with a focus on results.
* High level of resilience, adaptability, and a strong continuous improvement mindset.
