Coordinate building works, OH&S, ESM compliance and reactive maintenance across a multi-site portfolio

Hays is partnering with a local educational provider offering a combination of higher education and vocational learning, delivered by teachers with real-world experience and expertise. They operate out of multiple metropolitan campuses and a regional site, with an internal property services team that is seeking a fourth Facilities Coordinator.
**Your new role**
The position of Facilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the coordination of facility services including Essential Safety Measures, is performed to ensure industry standards and compliance.
- Provide and supervise the provision of asset management, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment and receives, manages, and processes work order requests and ensures problems are resolved quickly to reduce the impact of building operations and the Institute's environment.
- Act as a liaison between the Institute and contractors that is needed to resolve specialised problems.
- Assist the planning and delivery of Facilities & Assets asset planning, including the ongoing delivery of condition assessment reports on all buildings and creating a high standard of building infrastructure for staff, students, and visitors.
- Ensure that records are maintained to meet the relevant building code, OH&S, legislative and legal requirements and ensures that procurement policies and procedures are followed in accordance to Institute requirements.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Extensive experience in the contract management and compliance of facility and building services, preferably in a large and complex organisation
- Project management experience within the building facilities, maintenance and service upgrades.
- Demonstrated high level of capability in coordinating contractors delivering projects concurrently.
- Ability to direct, evaluate and make recommendations from a wide range of building and engineering consultant reports.
- Significant Procurement experience with a strong understanding of contractor evaluations, appointments and contract management.
