Essential Qualifications
- A Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognized by ACECQA
- A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one
- First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis
Essential Skills and Attributes
- A comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard to ensure best practices
- Ability to guide, mentor and support a team of educators, fostering a culture of professional reflection and continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with educators, families and external agencies
- Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating high‐quality educational programs
- Demonstrated capacity to reflect on practices, seek feedback and engage in ongoing professional learning
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with families, children, colleagues and the broader community
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Proven track record as an effective leader or mentor in an early childhood setting
- Ensuring all children have equitable access to learning opportunities, catering to diverse needs
- Understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations
- Participation in ongoing training and professional development to remain updated with sector changes
- Capability to use relevant software and technology for documentation, communication and planning
