Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking highly motivated Engineering professionals to join our high-performing Water Division and assist on water infrastructure projects in Australia.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Civil Engineer experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions to work with a diverse group of highly skilled professionals, playing an integral role in designing water program and project excellence for clients in metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.
You will work on a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in New South Wales. This dynamic team works on water infrastructure projects across the APAC region, offering a unique opportunity to grow your career.
As a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
* Plan, program, and coordinate specific projects with the Project Manager to deliver agreed outputs on budget, on time, and to quality standards.
* Manage civil engineering, design management, and project management from planning, feasibility/concept design, detailed design, and construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure as lead or member of a larger team.
* Perform broad, varied, and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory agencies.
* Engage in the development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats, and prepare documentation in various civil phases.
* Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact, and communication pertaining to specific projects.
* Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments and serve as a liaison between senior engineer and design team.
Your Responsibilities Include:
* Ensuring all technical outputs conform to project scope, are safe, and are of appropriate quality (confirmed by independent review).
* Actively participating in company Information sharing network, including knowledge forums and other initiatives promoted by the Company.
* Supporting the development and expansion of company's capability in fields of water and wastewater design, including obtaining new clients and/or new work from existing clients.
* Supporting the development of other team members through technical advice and guidance.
* Promoting brand through client interaction.
* Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities.
* Maintaining and minimizing risk by commitment to company Quality, Health & Safety programmes and ensuring proactive use of project management systems.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
* Chartership/ RPEQ or working towards is highly regarded.
* Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
* Minimum 4 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plants.
* Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.
* Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (highly desirable but not essential).
* Expertise in dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders, including local authorities, government bodies, and commercial companies.
