About the role
Our Telwater team is currently looking for an enthusiastic person to sew our boat biminis (canopy's), travel covers and clears. Training will also be provided on bend & bows, fitment and installs.
We are flexible on work hours for the right candidate. Our general working hours are 6am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday (40hrs/ week), however we can consider part time or casual arrangements if required. Let us know what suits you best
Duties include:
* Measure out and create patterns for the Bimini's/ canopy's
* Use of Industrial Sewing machines to sew Bimini's, travel covers and clears
* Cutting and bending bows
* Fit Bimini tops to bows and fit to boats
Skills And Experiences
What we are looking for:
* Industrial sewing experience is preferred, with prior experience in operating various types of machines (single needle / twin needle / over lockers) also highly desirable
* Previous experience working with canvas, vinyl and PVC materials is an advantage
* Great attention to detail and take pride in work
* Reliability with great attendance
* Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
* Regular use of power tools and hand tools
* Full Australian working rights
* Willingness to learn and develop skills within our boat building operations
