Global Communications Lead (Luxury)

Candidates must be based within proximity of our office locations: Hong Kong, Singapore. For global applicants, relocation to Asia is required for this position.

This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of global press and communication strategies with a primary focus on building relationships, earning media, and establishing positive sentiment in the luxury fashion/retail landscape.
">
The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to help communicate luxury designer launches, seasonal branded/product initiatives and exclusive events with relevant journalists and agencies, pitching & securing interviews/coverage, engaging in face-to-face meetings with media contacts and commentators, and aiding in the production of print and web-based content supporting all press relations.

Responsibilities
">
• Coordinating with local & International PR agencies – managing all photo and interview requests for executive/leadership team profiling, attending all agency calls, and assisting with day-to-day media and influencer relations

• Conducting multi-industry blog and social media research and outreach to develop target lists for events; and pitching and engaging media/influencers accordingly
">
• Leading planning & research for programming development, monitoring competitor news, participating in weekly brainstorms, and proactively suggesting new ideas to increase company awareness & resulting sales

• Managing coverage trackers, creating press clippings, and compiling weekly, monthly and annual press recaps
">
• Assisting with all logistics/planning for events including sample sourcing, branding, materials, staffing and setup

Requirements
">
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (journalism, public relations, communications, etc.)
">
• 3-5 years of PR experience with a luxury designer brand or multi-brand retailer. Fashion agency exposure an asset
">
• Aligned sense of direction regarding our POV, with proven credibility of International networks spanning fashion, arts & music industries
">
• Web, App and Mac–savviness, with knowledge of Google/Microsoft suites a must. Experience using Craft, Contentful or Sanity content management systems is highly regarded

• Knowledge/proficiency using project management and media monitoring software including Slack, Notion, Cision, Carma, Lefty, Dash etc.

• Fluent in English. Mandarin, Cantonese or French an asset
">
• Some International travel is required (20%)
