**Key Account Manager - Mining**:

For our Sales team, understanding the full potential of our technology and the trends in our markets gives our work a powerful sense of purpose. A newly created role has formed in our Process Industries business for a senior level Key Account Manager to manage a significant mining customer as well as mining consultancies active in Australia. In your role, you will act as an ABB ambassador to generate business insights about the customer and to develop positive and sustainable customer relationships Reporting to Local Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring sales and profitability targets are met and exceeded. You will also develop strategic account plans by collaborating and aligning with other business areas within ABB. This position will be based in Perth, Australia.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Identifying must-win sales opportunities and defining future business development initiatives/devising an investment proposal with the local organization and Divisions/Global Business Line
- Communicating a compelling message of ABB's value with the customer by understanding their needs and Job-to-be-done
- Maintaining and building effective relationships with stakeholders within ABB at multiple levels and within the relevant divisions
- Acting as insight generators, providing the functions within ABB with information relevant to their business, such as customer needs, competitors' insights, business risks, future business opportunities and new market shifts and trends
**Your background**:
- Business degree with minimum 3 years of sales and sales management experience
- Industry domain know-how through working with similar customers or being employed within the mining industry
- Knowledge of ABB's solutions for the industry and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to approach the account with curiosity and openness to learn, qualify and challenge the customer's motivation and thinking
- Familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint and have strong presentation skills
