Working with Fortescue's broader finance and business functions, you will be part of our group tax team, which supports Fortescue in meeting its tax obligations both in Australia and across the more than 30 overseas countries where we have entities. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate Australian and international tax structuring advice to the broader Fortescue business. Prepare or review Australian and international corporate income tax returns and other tax-related compliance obligations. Interpret complex tax advice and apply it to Fortescue's transactions and contracts. Understand and apply global transfer pricing obligations. Cultivate collaborative working relationships with relevant internal and external parties to manage tax inquires. Understand and apply Fortescue's tax risk management framework, including developing and implementing appropriate tax policies and procedures for the corporate group (including focusing on tax corporate governance). Conduct regular reviews of the tax systems, processes and controls utilised by the group, to ensure they comply with agreed tax policies and manuals. Qualifications and Experience Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a similar corporate or advisory role Preference for candidates with international tax experience (e.g. cross-border corporate income tax advisory and compliance), as well as a good understanding of transfer pricing principles Understanding of the OECD BEPS Pillar Two regime would be preferable Undergraduate degree with a major in Finance, Tax, Accounting and/or Law Postgraduate qualification (CPA, CA, Master of Taxation and/or College of Law) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively Ability to work well under pressure and within strict time frames Our Commitment Fortescue is deeply committed to providing a safe culture that builds respect, fosters inclusiveness, and values diversity.
