Description
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules that underpin the successful delivery of large-scale maritime defence projects. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Project Controls, Production and Commercial to ensure schedules are robust, accurate and consistently communicated.
In this role you will:
* Develop and maintain project and production schedules.
* Translate drawings, models and scopes of work into structured planning deliverables.
* Build WBS structures and schedule architecture using Primavera P6.
* Prepare baseline schedules and required documentation for approval.
* Produce clear scheduling outputs including Gantt charts, histograms and S-curves.
* Monitor progress against baseline and highlight risks or variances.
* Support the team in optimising sequencing and resource deployment.
* Maintain accurate schedule records and change logs.
Responsibilities
You will be relied upon as a central planning function in the project, ensuring work is properly structured, tracked and communicated. The role requires strong technical grounding, analytical thinking and an ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
* Reviewing scope documentation, drawings and 3D models to understand project deliverables.
* Designing WBS and schedule structures in collaboration with project teams.
* Developing complete logic networks within Primavera P6.
* Resource-loading schedules and preparing baseline submissions.
* Creating stakeholder-ready schedule visuals and reporting packs.
* Liaising with procurement, production and contractors for progress updates.
* Monitoring productivity and progress against approved baselines.
* Maintaining schedule interfaces, databases and historical project data.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across planning systems.
Profile
You will bring proven experience in project planning within heavy industry or complex engineering environments. This role requires strong technical fluency in Primavera P6 and high attention to detail.
To be successful, you will have:
* A tertiary qualification in structural, mechanical or construction management (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 3 years in a planning or scheduling role.
* Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and variances.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management capability.
* A disciplined, process-driven approach aligned with quality and safety standards.
