Job Duties
* Under general supervision, repairs and performs maintenance on conventional tools, down-hole tools and other equipment used in the application for down-hole operations.
* Areas of specialization within Product Service Line (PSL) specific shop operations may include: mechanical aptitude, pressure testing, surface equipment, and down‐hole tools.
* Performs maintenance, inspects surface equipment, and performs repairs.
* Assembles and disassembles down‐hole tools.
* Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
* Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
* Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process.
Qualifications
* Skills are typically acquired through a high school diploma or similar education and 2‐3 years of experience as a Tool Technician II or equivalent tool technician experience.
* Ability and authorization to accept and reject pressure tests on assemblies.
* Basic computer skills are preferred.
* Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.
* Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
* The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
* Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.Basic computer skills are preferred.
