Veritas House is a vibrant not-for-profit, community-based organisation with a specific focus on supporting vulnerable children, young people & their families. Veritas currently delivers services in a range of DCJ-funded programs.

You’ll be part of a caring, values-driven team that’s passionate about creating positive outcomes — while enjoying a workplace that values authenticity, collaboration and growth.

About the role

As a Case Worker in our Permanency Support Program, you’ll play a vital role in the statutory out-of-home care (OOHC) system, working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, loss and instability. You’ll provide comprehensive case management to help them feel secure, valued and connected while working towards permanency and long-term stability.

This is a challenging yet deeply rewarding role, where no two days are the same. You’ll collaborate with DCJ, carers, birth families, and specialist services to deliver the best-practice care planning principles that meets legal, emotional and developmental needs. You’ll also empower young people in Supported Independent Living to build the skills and confidence needed to transition successfully into adulthood.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:

- Provide high-quality case management to children and young people in Foster Care and Supported Independent Living.
- Develop and implement case plans that promote safety, stability, and positive life outcomes.
- Support young people to build independent living skills, manage tenancies, and access education, training, and employment opportunities.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, young people, Foster Carers, and families.
- Collaborate with service providers and government agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child or young person.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Permanency Support Program and NSW Child Protection standards.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call roster and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture.
