About the team
Infrastructure Gold Coast is a team of specialists who plan, design, build, maintain and operate our physical infrastructure, creating a safe and accessible city that meets the needs of our community now and in the future.As Certifying Engineer, you will be based in the Engineering Design and Standards branch in the Engineering Design and Specification business unit. The business unit is responsible for delivering engineering solutions, engineering certifications, infrastructure designs and infrastructure standards, developing estimations, procurement specifications, and evaluations for capital works projects and delivering surveyingactivities for all customer and community facing infrastructure classes.
About your new role
You will provide engineering services for ‘Green and Brown field’ municipal multi-disciplinary projects. Please refer to the Position Brief which outlines the duties and responsibilities of the role, including but not limited to:
• Coordinate an extensive program of engineering projects, monitoring key milestones and ensuring that projects are delivered to the agreed quality on time and within budget.• Undertake minor, moderately complex and complex multidisciplinary engineering projects.• Use relevant skill, judgement and experience and participate in the creation of the planning, estimation, design and specification documentation.• Lead, coach, mentor and supervise project teams, taking responsibility and accountability for team functions.
We're looking for people who have:
• You hold a Bachelor Degree of Engineering.• You hold Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) status. • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills ensuring consistency and clarity of advice.• Highly developed consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to influence project outcomes.• Highly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills with the ability to provide sound advice, options and recommendations, to influence project outcomes.• Highly developed ability to effectively network, recognising, creating and acting upon threats and opportunities, to provide successful project outcomes, ensuring customer relationships are enhanced, maintained and retained.• A preparedness and commitment to undertake continuing professional development (CPD).• You Hold Current C Class Driver Licence
