**Project Overview**
Sydney Metro West is a major driverless metro rail line tying Greater Parramatta and the Sydney Central Business District. The new line will double the rail capacity between the two areas, reduce journey times and link more communities to rail services, supporting employment growth and housing supply. The project is expected to create around 10,000 direct and 70,000 indirect jobs during construction. Sydney Metro West will include nine stations and deliver rail services for the first time to communities at Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays and Pyrmont. It will also provide faster, more frequent access to; major employment at Parramatta and The Bays; sporting and entertainment at Sydney Olympic Park; and health and education at Westmead.
**Position Overview**
**The Delivery Manager (Trains & Signalling) **- Sydney Metro West, reports directly to the Sydney Metro West TSMO/O&M; Contracts Director, who reports to the Deputy Project Director. The Delivery Manager is responsible for managing the rolling stock and signalling scope design and procurement effort, which will include close liaison with other delivery and engineering functions including O&M;, Rail Systems and Stations. The remit spans the entire Sydney Metro West Project from scope development, management of the concept designs, contracting strategy, tender process, contract award and interface & integration with other parties.
The Delivery Manager will be responsible for managing and influencing various project delivery teams, consisting of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Surveillance officers across the alignment. There will also be a need to coordinate with project sponsors, customer representatives and the supply chain.
The Delivery Manager shall allocate responsibilities to the project delivery team and define the Trains and signalling scope definition, support procurement and manage surveillance requirements of the Contractor's works, when awarded. Depending upon the specific requirements of the managed work, other resources may report directly / indirectly to the Delivery Manager.

- Demonstrating commitment to the Sydney Metro zero harm philosophy by regularly attending the TSMO Contractor pre-start, Tool Box Talks, undertaking safety site inspections and pro-actively participating safety risk reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements contained within the Deed. Further, shall promote and demonstrate unwavering commitment to discharging obligations against these disciplines.
- Prior to award, ensuring the engineering specifications and other contract particulars are robust, meet the Customer requirements and are integrated across the other functions.
- Managing interfaces in accordance with the Project Delivery Matrix.
- Developing particular specification requirements to be included within the T&S; contract.
- Providing specialist advice and guidance to the business, relative to signalling and rolling stock and systems integration
- Developing and maintaining risk registers with appropriate mitigation measures
- Tracking and ensuring Sydney Metro's compliance with the Trains & Signalling Contractor's Deed with regard to the Works, post award.
