A full‐time permanent role in the heart of Melbourne, VIC with a well‐established, award‐winning accounting firm that specialises in Accounting, Taxation and Management Consulting. We are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper, Business Bookkeeper or Bookkeeper to provide bookkeeping services and advise businesses across the Fitzroy and wider regions of Melbourne, VIC.

Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 per annum with great career growth. Location: Fitzroy, VIC.

Responsibilities

* Comprehensive Bookkeeping Services: End‐to‐end bookkeeping services including bank reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, and management reporting, serving as primary support for businesses nationwide.
* Client‐Centric Approach: Maintain close client relationships by proactively providing updates, promptly addressing inquiries, and consistently delivering a positive client experience.
* Collaborative Teamwork: Work in tandem with the Bookkeeping team, providing support and technical guidance, and offering training and mentorship to junior members.
* Integration Across Departments: Collaborate with colleagues throughout the firm to ensure seamless delivery of integrated advice on all opportunities.
* Efficient Workflow Management: Strategically plan and supervise project execution, task allocation, and ensure timely, budget‐conscious completion.
* Process Enhancement and Compliance: Follow and continuously improve internal processes and procedures to ensure technical and legislative accuracy, adhere to next‐practice standards, and promote a culture of regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or Finance.
* 5+ years of experience in a commercial bookkeeper or public practice.
* People‐person with uncompromising professionalism.
* IT savvy with experience using Xero, Xero Add‐Ons and G‐Suite.
* Exemplary taxation and legislative knowledge.
* Excellent problem‐solving and critical‐thinking abilities.
* Excellent prioritisation, time management and workflow planning abilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail.
