About The Role
If your passionate about Work Health and Safety and guiding and motivating a small team of Safety and Wellness advisers, then look no further we have an exciting leadership opportunity within the City.
The Leader Safety and Wellbeing (two positions available) are key leadership roles within the City’s Safety and Wellbeing Delivery Branch, responsible for the Leadership, monitoring, coaching and mentoring of a team of Safety and Wellbeing Advisers.
Responsibilities Include
Lead and manage a team of Safety and Wellbeing professionals to ensure we learn with the business and address all compliance and regulatory requirements and organisation policiesBuild the capability of Managers, coordinators and supervisors by conducting and driving learning teamsDevelop and implement comprehensive safety programs and initiatives specifically tailored to high-risk construction or maintenance environmentsRegularly facilitate risk assessments and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actionsProvide specialist advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on safe systems of work and best practices Investigate incidents, analyse systemic root causes, and drive the understanding of error normalisation to help develop help strategies to prevent recurrence Collaborate with external stakeholders including regulatory agencies and industry groups to stay abreast of emerging trends and regulatory changes.
We’re Looking For People Who Have
Diploma in Work Health and Safety or equivalent knowledge.Recognised investigation and audit qualifications is desirableDemonstrated experience as a Safety Professional across a range of IndustriesDemonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams and delivering outcomesSound understanding of and alignment with Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principlesDrivers Licence Class C Car
