Opportunity The Head of Maintenance will work closely with a broad range of internal stakeholders, including the property leadership team, business unit leaders and the maintenance teams to create an asset maintenance framework that will be transformational in creating an efficient, consistent and high performance maintenance program for the organisation whilst ensuring it encapsulates the organisations core values and supports the needs of the residents and village staff. As Head of Maintenance, you will require an exceptional level of leadership capability that will be evidenced through previous success in preparing and presenting strategy and property initiatives to the Executive leadership team. Influencing key decision makers and engaging stakeholder groups and individuals to make ongoing change will be crucial for your success. Equally important will be your expertise in motivating and upskilling large groups of operational staff without having direct management responsibilities. As part of the evolving change, The Head of Maintenance will lead the review and streamlining of all external contractor groups to improve service delivery and cost control. This will be one of the largest transformation projects for the organisation in recent times and forms part of their broader Asset Management strategy. Candidate Suitable candidates will demonstrate tertiary qualifications project management, construction management or a related field and show long term experience and success in the design, implementation and ongoing strategic management of asset maintenance delivery programs across multisite property portfolios. An acute ability to investigate, research and understand large volumes of information will be crucial, as will the need to interpret this information into robust business cases and present in a compelling and confident style to the to the Executive leadership team. Importantly, strong self-awareness, personal values, the overriding motivation to be part of a team with a strong sense of purpose and the desire to improve the lives of others is essential. We're looking for a candidate with proven experience leading large-scale organisational transformation, embedding high-performance cultures, and developing and implementing asset maintenance strategies-ideally within the aged care or retirement living sector.
