Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is looking for a person with strong leadership skills and a desire to achieve outcomes for the Northern Territory to lead one of our Darwin Engagement teams. As the Assistant Director in the Darwin Local Network Office, you will lead a team to perform a range of functions including stakeholder engagement, program assurance and stewardship of the health and aged care systems, as well as supporting connection between aged care and health programs in the Northern Territory.
The key duties of the position include:

* Analyses information critically to identify and manage risk, providing clear insights and recommendations to support decision‑making.
* Uses sound judgement under broad direction, taking initiative to resolve issues and deliver outcomes with a high degree of autonomy.
* Collaborates constructively, working independently and within teams while modelling APS Values and the Code of Conduct.
Eligibility
* To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, applicants must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
* An applicant’s suitability for employment with Health will also be assessed through a variety of pre-employment check processes, such as:
○ Satisfactory completion of a criminal history check, and where relevant, a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check,
○ Completion of a medical declaration and pre-employment medical (where required),
○ Providing evidence of qualifications (where required), and
○ Obtaining and maintaining a security clearance at the required level.
For this role applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance or hold a current security clearance at an appropriate level.
