About the role
Are you looking to start your career in the trades? This full-time Apprentice Stonemason role at Medici Marble & Granite in Wangara, WA is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience and qualifications in the building trades industry. As an apprentice, you will have the chance to learn from experienced professionals, acquire valuable skills, and work towards becoming a qualified stonemason.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting senior stonemasons with the fabrication, installation and finishing of stone products such as countertops, vanities, fireplaces and other architectural features
* Operating stone cutting, shaping and polishing equipment with strict safety protocols
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to carry out work to required standards
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area
* Completing all on-the-job and off-site training as required to obtain your stonemason qualification
What we're looking for
* A keen interest and passion for working with your hands in the building trades
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to specifications
* Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
* A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* The ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team
* No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided
